The Hershey Company is one of the world's largest food producers and the oldest chocolate company in the United States. Known for its chocolate bars, of which Hershey's are best known. It also owns the Hersheypark theme park. Created in 1894 as a Lancaster Caramel Company the production of milk chocolate - Hershey Chocolate Company. The company became public in 1927. By the end of World War II, the company controlled 90% of the milk chocolate market in the United States.

In the 60s, a factory was opened in Canada, bought by H. B. Reese Candy Company, San Giorgio and Delmonico Foods, and the company was renamed Hershey Foods Corporation. The company begins to expand the range of products and by 1982, of the $ 1.5 billion in revenue, 30% were not related to confectionery products. In 1988, the American division of Cadbury Schweppes PLC was bought, and in 1991 a factory was opened in Germany. In 2005, the company again changed its name to The Hershey Company.
